Anupam has a postgraduate degree in physics, from Cotton University, Assam. He has always been interested in combining science and the humanities and so he joined IITGN because it was the perfect choice for his interests. Presently he wishes to experiment with quantum consciousness, social epidemiology, public policy, and history of science and technology. He cannot resist the scent of old books and so the library is where he is usually found when he is not busy gathering data on almost everything under the sun. If you live Netflix, well you sure can have him for a company.
Anuracti graduated with a degree in journalism from Jai Hind College and worked at a feature film production house before deciding to pursue her master’s. If not humming to herself, she’s either singing out loud or thinking up her next poem title. Likely to be found in the non-fiction section of library or philosophizing over strong coffee, she is not very keen on writing about herself in the third person.
My name is Anushka Mukherjee and I have a background in Sociology coupled with Gender and Culture Studies. My current interests are hence largely shaped by this background. I engage with Gender Studies, Migration Studies, Criminology and Media Studies. I am currently looking into Reproductive justice for women which is bringing into play all the above-mentioned disciplines and is hence very exciting work.
Specialized in history, economics and political science in her undergrad from Mount Carmel College, Bangalore. Apart from history, archaeology, and geography, Arya is fascinated by the universe and all that it contains. She loves to explore her interests in Asian philosophy, especially dealing with the Vedas.
Dalia is a graduate in English literature from Stella Maris College, Chennai. Her interests include existentialism, identity politics, ethnolinguistics, conflict resolution, and peace management. At IITGN she is trying to experiment with her areas of interests and find the one that suits her research ideas the most. If someone belts out a song or you see someone dancing randomly, then it is probably her. You will find her serenading sunsets or at the library or playing with the dogs on the campus.
Devika has done her graduation in International Relations from Central University of Kerala as a part of the five-year integrated program. She joined IITGN due to her interest in public policy. She has written papers published at both national and international publications and is very passionate about dancing.

Olivia did her graduation in English literature from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, New Delhi. She is passionate about bringing change in society, especially among underprivileged women and children. She loves to spend her spare time travelling and tasting all kinds of new foods.
Isai Amudhu SS
Isai holds a masters degree in Life science from IISER Trivandrum. She is looking for an interdisciplinary approach to address various social issues for which IIT Gandhinagar provides a good platform. She is interested in policy making and culture studies.
Janaki R Nair
Janaki is a graduate in Economics from Stella Maris College, Chennai. She has joined MASC at IITGN, after a brief stint as
a journalist with Reuters, to specialize in Public Policy and Human Development. She strongly believes that the humblest of
efforts in the right direction can bring about a positive change. Apart from looking forward to grappling with policy challenges,
particularly in the field of education, health and rural infrastructure, she aspires to be a stand-up comedian.
Kadeeja Nourah B. H
Kadeeja Nourah B. H. holds a BA in sociology from Farook College, Calicut University. Interest areas lie in community studies and diversity studies. She likes to explore the psychological aspects of societies. Her hobbies are thinking, interacting with people, and updating social media status.
Medha holds a Commerce degree from Mount Carmel College, Bangalore. Her interests include listening to all kinds of music and appreciating spontaneously clever humor. She has a penchant for consuming copious amounts of coffee at any given time. She is curious about topics ranging from the dynamics of cross-cultural interactions and the link between creative ability and mental illness.
Omi is an explorer and holds a bachelors degree in geography from Banaras Hindu University. Her interest areas are regional and cultural geography. She also likes to study the environment and its sustainability. Her hobbies are playing basketball and table-tennis, watching movies, and traveling.
Ramesh.N holds a post-graduation in Engineering from College of Engineering, Guindy. (Anna University –Chennai).He has an experience of 6 years as Lecturer. His thoughts not only limited to engineering, rather wants to widen the socio-technical approach towards society building. His area of interests include social work, rural tourism, sustainable rural development, urbanization impacts, Educational pedagogy, and social policy making for differently abled.
Sakshi Sunil Soni
Sakshi did her graduation in English literature from St. Xavier’s College, Ahmedabad. Films and TV shows form an integral part of her interests, which include children’s media, film studies, partition, and Diaspora studies
Shantanu has an M.A. in psychology and a diploma in Russian Language and Literature. He attends classes if he gets time from quizzing or binge watching. Interested in social and medical Anthropology, and would like to contribute to public policy development one day. He enjoys cinema, literature, and the peace of his room.
