Problems faced by the tribal society after independence: Causes and solution plan.

The tribal community is the main inhabitant of the country. There are many questions facing the community living in the jungle, the Doms. Even after 70 years of independence, the problems faced by the tribal community have not been resolved. Child death, naxalism issues can be mentioned. We would love to research the main reasons and remedies plan. In my spare time I love painting. Besides, I love photography, video editing, nature illusion.

I am interested in exploring notions of diasporic consciousness and immigrant subjectivity among India’s various immigrant communities, with a specific focus on how these ideas shape identity and these communities’ sense of belonging vis-à-vis the Indian nation State. Recently, I have been trying my hand at poetry, too.

Rajasee Mukherjee has completed her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Presidency University, Kolkata. Her undergraduate research project revolved around the idea of ‘Madness’ and its performance within the Theatre Space. Her current research interests include looking at colonial India through children’s literature by Anglo-Indian, British and Indian writers and locating contrasting views and perceptions of the colonizer and the colonized when bound within the same space; continuing with the idea of space. She  likes to look at how histories of spaces have been shaped and created by populations facing forced displacement and how their movement and settling has led to creation of new cultures within the space of their relocation. Additional areas of interest include Child Rights and Religion with a focus on Christian symbolism.
