I am a sociologist by training and I did my BA Hons from Delhi University, MA from Jadavpur University and M.Phil from IIT Bombay. My main areas of interest are medical sociology, social gerontology, population studies and family sociology. The title of my PhD thesis was: Three Essays in Aging and Intergenerational Relationships: Social Capital, Family Dynamics and Transnational Arrangements
Nagireddy Neelakanteswar Reddy has an interdisciplinary research interest in Psychology and Philosophy (of science), in general, and “Metascience of Psychology,” in particular. His previous degrees include MPhil in Cognitive science and MA in Philosophy (from University of Hyderabad). In the future, he wishes to research on (philosophy and psychology) interdisciplinary areas like metascience, construct validity, natural kinds, cognitive ontology, and freewill. His PhD dissertation was "A Critique of the Conceptualization of Sense of Agency in Experimental Paradigms."
Annie teaches literature and language at Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University, Gandhinagar. She completed her PhD from IIT Gandhinagar and has an MA in English from Savitribai Phule Pune University. Her doctoral work was a study of translation and sacred textual traditions in seventeenth century Goa through a reading of Kristapurana (1616). Her research interests include Translation Studies, South Asian Literature, Religious Studies, and Travel Writing.
Working as a Technical Specialist at the Population Council- a leading public health/population research institute. Currently involved in three projects focusing on adolescent sexual-reproductive health & lives. Primarily involved in co-leading the large community-based evaluation in Rajasthan, analyzing primary and secondary data [qualitative & quantitative], writing policy briefs, manuscripts and evidence synthesis.
