Her undergraduate research project was based on understanding Transnational Spiritual organisation and the educational institutions established by the same.

I completed my undergraduate studies from the Azim Premji University, Bangalore in Combined Humanities. I am interested in questions of marginalization, oral history and identity. I have previously researched some of the minority communities living in Kolkata, looking specifically at notions of belonging and the hybrid nature of some of the city's ethnic minority groups. I have had a rather interdisciplinary academic training and this has often informed my research, which draws from not just my main interest areas of History and Political Science, but also from the allied disciplines of Philosophy, Sociology and Literary Studies.
