Nidhi M Shastri graduated in English literature (hons.) from the Central University of Karnataka, Kalaburagi. She is interested to look at the interaction between language and literature and the creation of literature in everyday life. She enjoys looking at how pop culture operates and influences tiny parts of everyday life (while JP Cooper plays in the background) in addition to observing and drawing from traditional Indian culture – values, systems and motivations to keep going in life. She can be found penning down her musings or typing them away, or cooking up quick snacks when not found listening, talking or watching. An intern with Shivganga, Jhabua she engages with the community from time to time. She volunteers at the NGO working with the tribals of Jhabua, whenever time permits. Nidhi has also been a part of the organizing team twice (May 2019, June 2020) of the illustrious Policy BootCamp by Vision India Foundation, engaging with content writing, dialogues with the speakers and future policymakers. She enjoys traveling solo and exploring places on her own. A mental health empath, she firmly believes that all the talk about mental health issues should not remain restricted to confidential rooms but become destigmatized with every passing day.
