The National Geographic Society supports innovative fieldwork and research in a wide variety Of science subjects including archaeology, anthropology, geology, geography, photography, earth sciences, biology, and botany. Grants are available for both students and senior scholars and there is a special fund for first-time grantees as a way to support young women and men as they begin their careers.
