The International Pragmatics Association (IPrA) in association With IIT Gandhinagar is organizing a week long workshop in Pragmatics. Students ond researchers from Linguistics, Sociology, Literature, Communicat•on. Media and Cultural Studies interested in enhancing their knowledge and skills at analyzing discourse are encouraged to apply, A team of eminent international faculty will deliver lectures as well as mentor participants on their individual projects with the aim of guiding them to publish their research in international journals. The theme of this year’s edition is the pragmatics of political discourse in the public sphere. From political coinages of ministers to media discourse to the hashtag campaigns Of Citizens, a lot seems to hinge on manifold uses Of language in the public sphere. This series of annual workshops is being organized to bolster such Vital research from India.
